Victorian Marble Top Sideboard
In good shape as the pics show wi th some imperfections to the marble top as the pics show and minor imperfections from age to the piece. The drawer pulls have been replaced and a modern mechanism added to keep the bottom door shut. The restored finish is in excellent condition, preserving just enough stains, mars and shrinkage separations from age for a little character, see photos. There are tulips on the top and bunches of grapes on the bottom.
Structurally sound with normal wear and tear (dings and scratches to the extent that they are found commonly on antique furniture). Illuminated with lights along the top, as well as above the granite. The left door has a bow to it which is not uncommon for such a thick piece of solid mahogany.

Incredibly stunning piece of furniture, displaying a rich, fine oak grain and lustrous complexion. Superbly created, each of the 3 shelves has a center medallion of hand carved fruits with a cross-hatch carving covering the entire shelf surface~. Gracefully rounded shelves trailing up the sides of the buffet are ideal for displaying lovely decorations. There are also a few old inactive wood worm holes that are in the serving surface (see photos).

The beautiful original salmon colored marble has shaped corners and is in excellent condition. Carved cabriole legs with excellent storage of three drawers and 2 doors with shelves. Carved quartered oak server with a shaped beveled mirror and lions on the mirror and claw feet. It will fill your room with the warmth and absolute beauty of the period.
Extra nice backsplash, with book-matched crotch mahogany and molded cap rail sit on a single board top, with a heavy curved applied edge, over a two large drawers that are opened using hidden hand holds. Frame is made of wood and finished with carefully crafted carvings. However, we will be happy to assist you in anyway if such a incident occurs. Style includes defined double molded top, elegantly tapered table legs, bronze rounded decorative knobs and shaker style doors. Rare mother of pearl hardwood veneers make for a warm, glowing finish. A white marble top rest over two drawers and two doors, the drawers have carved pulls, with the doors having large carved fruit and nut clusters. Notice the fan shaped fur inlay and the exceptional oval brass drawer pulls. It is made from solid and veneered walnut that has been finished to a warm dark color.
These four cornices will certainly make a beautiful statement in any room. There is a mouse hole in the back (covered with metal) and the back of one of the drawers. This circa 1850 cabinet is generously sized and has 22 drawers overall. There are 2 drawers on the top and 2 on the bottom portion. There is another drawer which sits above two cabinet doors, each fronted with ornate floral carvings. In good shape as the pics show consider ing it&’s over 100 year life span. Horner carved back bar sideboard with a large arched beveled mirror and 3 smaller beveled mirrors on the top portion and a lion head carved into the crest. The drawers feature period dove-tailed joinery with the original blue velvet inside the divided compartments ( there is some losses to the fabric inside). Along with superb quality and fit, it shows extensive detailed carving that is all hand done. This was meant to be an exceptional piece, as nothing is left undone, and all aspects being of the best material.
Two shelves of displaying china or collectibles make it easy to show thing off. Solid oak, cross banded with inlaid wood and shaped skirt, hand-finished and hand-waxed with the normal small nicks and wear appropriate for its age producing the most luxurious patina possible. There is some scratching on the bottom part of the mirror, which is exaggereated by the camera flash. It is made from solid walnut finished to a warm honey color. Finished on all sides, easy to Â“floatÂ” in any room because thereÂ’s not a Â‘backsideÂ’~. The shaped marble top has been polished and sealed to resist stains. Four peg holes have been filled on the top as well from where a back piece once was, and there is a few stains (see photos). This is in Â“as found; as isÂ” condition with original finish. A beautiful piece and one that is complimentary to anyone interested in antiques. The height from the floor to the top of the marble is 36 Â½Â”. This beautiful piece is made from solid oak and features a high shelf with carved floral elements and acorns on the upper section, with two ornately carved columns flanking a mirrored back with more carved floral elements. The flared bonnet style top is adorned with carved flowers and scrollwork with carved columnar supports. The two large side storage cabinets open to two adjustable shelves. It had been refinished awhile ago, has mirrored doors (the mirrors are not original), has two previous repairs Â– top left shelf and the right finial Â– as pictured. One door retains its original lock with key and there is a shelf behind each door.
Standing 86 1/4? tall, the serving surface is only 36 3/4? from the floor. All of them will show some type of age related wear and tear, and sometimes damage. The top of the buffet does have a few light scratches and there are several peg holes in the top that have been filled (see photos). There is a professional reinforced restoration to the original shaped marble top, which has been polished and sealed to resist stains. The top piece can be removed with a few screws, and the marble can then be lifted right off the top.
There are 4 nicely carved doors and 3 drawers on the bottom and twist columns holding up the shelf. The hand carved crest and walnuts and leaves on the doors are three dimensional. It has 3 drawers over 3 doors that open to reveal a shelf and lots of storage space.

Of interest is that the top serving board, which is solid, and composed of plum pudding mahogany, with speckles throughout. We believe this piece to have its original finish, marble and hardware and features pin cove dovetailing on the drawer ends. Notice the small round candle shelves and the one long shapely shelf supported by 4 carved columns. Amidst all the wonderful carvings are display shelves above and below the original beveled mirror ( does show some streaking and losses as common in antique mirrors), with heavily carved shelf supports. The tasseled key works the locks on the drawers and the doors and this piece has it casters intact on the base.
The center folds down showing a bar area with wine cellerates on each side. Most notable are the holes in the drawers and on the back of the top (see photos). From furniture to copper cups, these are quite the dining deals! There are two small areas of replaced veneer on the front edge (shown in pictures). Some minor wear consistent with age and use, no key is present, but overall in very good condition. Some minor veneer chips and some people might say it needs to be refinished. One in the top center drawer and one on the left side door. A well constructed cabinet, solid walnut with oak secondary wood. Note the details: blue marble top, solid brass alligator handles, maple doors, rounded bottom. It has a beautiful finish and is in great condition except for the top hinge on the right door needs to be replaced. The back piece has a heavily and deeply carved arched crest. The top mirror piece is newer, and likely replaced an older top. There is also two cracks in the front bottom doors Â– not detrimental to appearance. Size is 48? wide, 22? deep, 72? tall and the marble is 39? high. The digital images we display have the most accurate color possible. Beautiful marquetry work abounds on this piece, seen even in the dovetailing of the joints.
