Quartz can be made to look like many things, including the expensive vein and pure white varieties of stone. Don’t confuse quartz (a manmade product composed of resin and minerals) with quartzite even though the two offer similar benefits in the kitchen. It usually has a smoky, hazy appeal that looks good in the kitchen. I really love the look and much easier to maintain than granite or marble. It seems like this year the cold/flu viruses are hitting later in the winter. This granite has a deep cream colored background and would be good for those of us who can&’t use the white. I think we&’ll have more of a chance of being successful and finding something you love if we just look at the components.

We&’ve all been there – we&’re trying to mimic the look of marble, but it is really challenging, and we find ourselves hitting a lot of obstacles along the way. They can be just as delicately beautiful, you just need to know what to ask for to get the look you want.

It looks just as good on a countertop as it does on an island or table and can really transform a dark space into something light and airy. You may want to check into some of the lighter granite that somewhat mimics the look of marble. It is however more prone to etching so make sure to discuss it with the stone yard.
This is one of the types of granite that most closely resembles carrara marble. Ice white can be more of a traditional granite, and the background color is usually pretty white.
