These care crated from mineral deposits that have formed over millions of years through natural geological processes.
They are mainly a light pastel blue in color, but they can range down to a very deep almost navy blue color in places.
When you get very close to the stone you will also be able to notice that the white bedrock is actually also intertwined with white quartz crystals.
These crystals are hidden very well among the white bedrock – but they add a slight sparkle and shine to the stone, giving it a very luxurious appearance. The way this stone contrasts with the white is stunning! Some slabs will have quite a large amount of the brown mineral deposits – others can have nearly none. The amount of the blue minerals in the stone can also vary. On occasion you can find slabs that have upwards of 20% of their mass made up of this stunning color. While around 15% of the stones mass being blue is about the average, you can also find slabs that have the blues making up less than 5% in rare cases.
In darker rooms the blue colors will be less pronounced as they are usually quite pale in color. If you have a room with bright natural light the blues will be amplified allowing the stones full beauty to be seen. The dark cabinets make a stark contrast to the countertops here. Due to its stunning beauty this stone is a premium granite. Regardless of the color scheme of your kitchen, whenever you use blue flower granite for your countertops it will dominate the room. When combined with dark kitchen cabinets the browns of the stone allow the cabinets and countertops to complement each other – while remaining a stark contrast due to the granites white bedrock. The light blue minerals are slightly dominated by the dark décor and are comparatively less visible. Another slab that has some very attractive blue mineral deposits.
When combined with light kitchen cabinets blue flower granite is realty allowed to shine. Just like the brown minerals complementing the dark cabinets – the white bedrock complements the white cabinets.
This time the brown adds a great contrast, and the blue minerals are much more visible. In both cases it works best in rooms with neutral light colored walls.
As a rule of thumb – the lighter the room’s décor, the more pronounced the blue minerals will be. And let’s face it – that’s the reason many of us love this stunning stone. Why not take a look at white ice granite too?
